How to Take a Screenshot of What You Are Viewing

  1. Step 1
    Navigate to the screen that you'd like to take a picture of.
  2. Step 2
    Press the "Print Screen/SysRQ" button located at the top right hand side of your keyboard. This will "Copy" the image.
  3. Step 3
    Next you need to open a program in which you can "Paste" the image that you've just copied. The easiest way to do this is to use the Microsoft Paint program.
  4. Step 4
    Start a new file and click the "Edit" button located at the top of the window.
  5. Step 5
    Now scroll down and click the "Paste" button. You will receive this message: "The image in the clipboard is larger than the bitmap". It will ask you if you would like the bitmap enlarged. Click "Yes"
  6. Step 6
    This will display the image in its original size. In order to re-size the image simply drag the corners around the image until you have your desired length and width.
  7. Step 7
    Now you will be able to save the image as a .Bmp file
